Pleasant Holidays 2022
Pleasant Day is postponing what would have been the 22nd Festival of Wreaths. Adult Day Care must still vaccinate, boost, mask and screen. So, Pleasant Holidays fundraiser will be held virtually.
This fundraiser is –as always– for the participants. Following the Pandemic, the participants need to attend regularly so that nursing and all other staff can accomplish the participants’ goal of reaching and maintaining their best health possible. To encourage attendance, we provide a busy and creative activity calendar emphasizing trips, special foods, entertainment, singing, parties, exercises, crafts, education, and celebrating everything even including Bee Day with a Bee Keeper, hive and fresh honey. These activities are a direct result of their physician’s orders to encourage their psychological well-being which reflects on their general health. Simply put, happier people are usually healthier people. Doing a more creative activity program costs more than just playing bingo and watching television. We try to make every day special but only folks like you can make it possible. We started the Festival of Wreaths to fund the participants’ holidays. Now with everything: gasoline, food, ceramics, and craft supplies all getting more
expensive, it takes a lot more year ‘round to do the activities that make Pleasant Day what it is. So yes, the Holidays will come first but anything extra will be applied to make the ordinary days special.
The Pleasant Holidays fundraiser is getting exciting. We have two tiers of donations; three prizes for the $25.00 donations and three prizes for the $50.00 donations. There will be 3 drawings for each tier on Monday, December 12. So, there will be six winners in total.
You can go to our donation page and see the prizes and read about them. You can also donate through PayPal using your credit card. Thank you for being a Friend of Pleasant Day and we appreciate your help and support. I hope you will consider making this your annual donation to help Pleasant Day participants. Feel free to call or email us if you have any questions.
